Four additional millionaires will be added to Doha Bank’s Al Dana family as the bank announced the launching of the latest rewards programme for its customers - the “Al Dana for Everyone” 2014 promo.
Doha Bank Group CEO Dr R Seetharaman said the promo focuses on core customer strategy of the “Al Dana for Everyone,” which means “there is something for everyone.”
He said at least four more millionaires will be added to the Al Dana family, “with plenty of opportunities for past winners to add to their tally in the monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly draws. This includes all eligible customers maintaining a minimum balance of QR1,000, and special draws for those maintaining higher balances.”
This year, Seetharaman said customers holding Al Dana savings balances of QR1,000 and above are automatically entered into monthly draws that will award QR10,000 each to 10 lucky winners.
Al Dana customers maintaining balances of at least QR50,000 will be eligible for special additional draws that will reward one lucky customer with a QR100,000 prize each month.
Quarterly draws will be held for all customers when one additional lucky winner will get QR1mn for maintaining an account balance of just QR1,000 during the months of the eligible quarter.
A notable new draw in this year’s prize structure is the bi-monthly QR500,000 prize draw, which automatically registers customers maintaining a balance of QR350,000 during the eligibility period, Seetharaman explained.
Seetharaman said the bank’s Al Dana Savings programme grew to a record high in 2013. “We hope to build on the successes of the Al Dana Savings programme by moving forward,” he noted.
He added: “We have revamped the prize structure for 2014 to deliver even greater benefits to our Al Dana customers across all markets where we offer the savings programme. In 2014, there will be even more winners across Doha Bank’s retail banking network, in addition to dedicated prizes for Doha Millionaire customers in Kuwait.”
Doha Bank head of Retail Banking Suresh Bajpai said: “By all accounts, we can say the Al Dana rewards programme has delivered more than median value compared to traditional industry performance.”
In addition to automatically entering all the other draws based on eligibility, Doha Millionaire customers in Kuwait will be eligible for a separate dedicated draw held every month, rewarding customers with a KD5,000 cash prize. This is available to all customers maintaining a minimum balance of KD100 in their accounts.
Seetharaman added that the bank has special draws in Qatar for young savers “to promote healthy saving habits among the youth, which is extremely important in any society to help ensure that young people are primed to take on greater personal financial responsibilities.”
“This year, Doha Bank will reward five winners each month from among its Al Dana Young Savers programme. Young savers should maintain a balance of at least QR500 in their accounts during the eligibility period for each monthly draw,” Seetharaman said.
