Jewellers and watch makers from across the world are taking part in the 11th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition 2014 (DJWE 2014) starting at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) today.

Though the official inauguration is scheduled for 6pm today, the expo would be open for the public only from tomorrow. The event is held under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.

Organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) in partnership with q.media events, the fair will host 34 exhibitors from Qatar and other countries representing more than 500 brands covering luxury gemstones and watches.

Among the Qatari exhibitors are Al Fardan Jewellery Company, Ali Bin Ali group, Qatar Luxury Group (QELA), Al Majed Jewellery, Blue Salon, Al Muftah Jewellery, Amiri Gems,  Fifty One  East, Al Jaber watches, Marzooq Al Shamlan & Sons, Al Majed Pearls/ Dar Al Majid Jewellery, Royal Jewellery (Al Malakia), Bulgari Jewellery,  Al Makki Jewellery  & Watches, Al Mawla  Jewellery,  Matis Jewellery, Versailles  Jewellery, Wazni Jewellery, Doha Marketing Services Co (Domasco) Tiara Jewellery, Tzarina Jewellery, Blue Diamond Group, Pari Gallery, Domasco, Charmeleena, Sabek and Safana Jewellery.

International designer David Webb is presenting a range of high class jewellery. With each delicate piece made in the company’s workshop in the US, David Webb employs jewel makers from all over the globe.

The participants will also get an opportunity to view an exciting range of jewellery and watches from internationally renowned jeweller and watchmaker, Mouawad.

Other international brands participating at the show include AL Zain Trading Co, Graff/Qatar Marketing Co, and Christie’s Jewellery.

The six-day event is expected to be one of the most exciting exhibitions of the year. Featuring the most spectacular international and local exhibitors, patrons will also get to witness a stunning catwalk show. Here brands are expected to showcase their quality jewellery and watches, many for the first time.
