Qatar and Peru signed two agreements and a memorandum of understanding following a session of official talks chaired by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the visiting President of Peru Ollanta Humala.
Several ministers attended the session along with members of the Peruvian delegation accompanying President Ollanta Humala.
Talks during the session dealt with relations between the two countries and means of developing them. The two sides also discussed a set of issues of mutual concern.
Later the Emir and the Peruvian president witnessed the signing of an economic, trade, investment and technical co-operation agreement between the two countries, a co-operation agreement in the cultural field, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and the National Olympic Committee for Peru.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Peruvian president and the accompanying delegation.
An official reception was held for the visiting President upon his arrival at the Emiri Diwan.
President Humala arrived in Doha yesterday morning on an official visit to the country.
