Qatari youth studying in UK invited to career fair

In collaboration with Qatar’s embassy in London, QNB will participate in the Student Career Fair to be held in the UK on February 21 and 22.

The event aims to give Qatari students an insight into career opportunities awaiting them in their homeland after graduation, while providing them with career consultancy during their visit to QNB’s stand at the fair.

QNB’s sponsorship and participation in the Student Career Fair highlights its continued efforts and commitment to attract Qatari students studying abroad, providing them with the best career opportunities in line with the country’s vision to support young promising Qataris through national organisations, the bank has said in a statement.

QNB Group makes such career fairs a priority and a must-go event to help young nationals access best practices within the group in addition to a wide range of training and career programmes across its network that covers 26 countries, including the London branch, which was the first international branch to provide Qatari nationals with an interface to global expertise and on-job experience.

Qatari students visiting the QNB stand at the fair will be able to submit their resumes and applications to the staff, who will be ready to give them briefings on the hiring process that involves personal interviews, career aptitude tests and assessing general business skills acumen.

Human capital development is one of the most important focal points within QNB Group, according to the statement.

Aligned with the country’s 2030 vision, which outlines a fully sustainable and diverse economic vision for the country’s future, QNB’s Human Capital Department seeks to enable all candidates to both evolve their talents to the highest professional standard and expand their knowledge base.

It is hoped that these acquired skills will allow individuals to secure and fulfill important decision-making roles within the bank.

An important aspect of participating in career fairs for Qatari nationals is the desire to enhance the state’s policy and strategy of Qatarisation.

QNB’s current ratio - in excess of 50% - is considered among the highest in the banking sector and the group aims to increase this level in the coming years through targeted efforts.
