Milaha organised a group-wide Sport Day on Tuesday at Al Arabi Sports Club to mark National Sport Day and hailed government’s vision to establish the country as a premier global sports hub.

Milaha’s Sport Day events attracted more than 1,000 enthusiasts who participated in events such cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, mini-marathon, obstacle course, among other activities for both adults and children.

Contestants enthusiastically battled each other in six-a-side football, cricket, basketball, rope-pulling, relay running, marathon, and volleyball. Foosball, table tennis, air hockey, face painting and other activities were also available for those who were unable to participate in the more physically demanding activities. Gold and silver medals were awarded at the end for each sporting activity.

HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani, chairman and managing director, who took part in the activities described the annual event as a great way to build camaraderie in the Milaha family.
