The Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) hosted fun activities for its staff and their families as part of the National Sport Day.
There were team competitions in different games including volleyball, beach soccer, water gun, canoeing, relay race, sumo, target shooting, and tug of war along with various kids’ games activities.
Special T-shirts with QTA and National Sport Day logos were distributed to all participants. The day’s activities came to a close with the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of various competitions.
Issa bin Mohamed al-Mohannadi, chairman, QTA, said: “National Sport Day is a significant event in Qatar’s calendar; it highlights the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle in our society. QTA organised this event as part of its efforts to encourage sport among employees and build team spirit. We believe a healthy and dynamic population will play an important role in developing an active society.”
