HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani have sent cables of congratulations to the Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and the president of Cuba on their country’s Independence Day.
Qatar-Germany ties reviewed
HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumaihi has met the Adviser to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Foreign and Security Policy Dr Christoph Heusgen in Doha.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in addition to a number of issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Envoy meets Ethiopian leader
Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome has met Qatar’s Ambassador Abdulaziz bin Sultan al-Rumaihi.
During the meeting, the Qatari ambassador conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The Ethiopian president reciprocated the Emir’s greetings.
During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries.
