Minister meets ambassadors
HE Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi held separate meetings with Mauritanian and Chinese ambassadors accredited to Qatar - Sheikh Sayed Ahmed Bakay and Gao Youzhen, respectively. Talks dealt with bilateral relations.
Princess Salma ends Doha visit
Princess Lalla Salma, wife of the Moroccan king, who is also the president of Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, left Doha yesterday afternoon, wrapping up a visit to Qatar.
During the visit, Princess Lalla Salma attended the first session of the World Summit for Innovation in Health Care (WISH), which was inaugurated by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) which concluded in Doha on Wednesday.
Chief of Staff meets US official
HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim yesterday met US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Frank Rose. Talks dealt with issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the armed forces.
Qatar-Lebanon ties discussed
Qatar’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ali bin Hamad al-Marri has met the Chairman of the executive committee of the Lebanese Forces Party Dr Samir Geagea. During the meeting, they discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region as well as bilateral relations.
Paraguay ministers meet Qatari envoy
Paraguayan Interior Minister Francisco de Vargas and Finance Minister German Rojas met separately with Qatar’s Ambassador to Paraguay Abdullah Mohamed al-Derbasti.
During the two meetings, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them in various fields.
Envoy presents credentials
The Cuban Vice-President Salvador Valdes Mesa has received the credentials of Rashid Mirza al-Mulla as ambassador of Qatar to Cuba during their meeting in Havana yesterday.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations as well as issues of common concern.
