Many citizens have expressed concern over the presence of a large number of single males in malls during the weekend, local Arabic daily Al Watan has reported.
The citizens have pointed out that these “bachelors” cause much discomfort to families, especially when they tend to hang around women’s sections in stores. They have suggested that the security staff of malls remove these young men from such areas, the report states.
The citizens have further said that the presence of young males in malls during the weekend often compels families to go shopping on other days.
They feel there should be special night shopping hours for families on Thursdays and Fridays and “bachelors” should be allowed to enter only during the day, according to the report.
