More than 600 professionals and decision makers will participate in the 9th edition of the ‘Back2Business’ slated for on October 2, at Grand Hyatt hotel.
The Back2Business is the largest professional networking event in Qatar and the major business councils in Qatar co-ordinate with it. This year the event is organised by eight business councils - Scandinavian (SBCQ), Spanish (SBC), Australian and New Zealand (ANZBIQ), British (QBBF), Dutch (DBCQ), German (GBCQ), Italian (IBCQ) and Turkish Business Councils.
Palma Libotte, president, Italian Qatari Business Association, said that there is more than 30% increase in the number of participants compared to last year. “It is a great occasion to share the experience among other professionals and network with hundreds of people in various businesses. People also get a lot of information about the process of starting a business in Qatar and various formalities involved in it,” Libotte said.
Libotte stated that the increase in number of attendees shows the growing interest in the event. “It is a valuable event to expand one’s knowledge, learn from the success of others, attain new clients and tell others about your business and be updated on market
rumours,” she added.
Dean Proctor, executive general manager of retail and consumer banking, Commercial Bank, said: “Back2Business is an innovative networking event for the business community and our customers here in Qatar. We are delighted to support this year’s event as Diamond Sponsor. Networking is especially vital for those who are new to Qatar and looking to build business and
social relationships.”
“Vodafone Qatar is proud to be a strategic sponsor of the Back2Business event. This is the third year in a row that we have sponsored this event and have found it an invaluable opportunity to network with leading people in their field,” said Niraj Singh, director, Vodafone Qatar Business Services.
The session will be held in various groups about eight sectors - oil and gas, construction, professional services, hospitality, transport and logistics, education, financial and others. The business councils in Qatar are no-profit organisations that work in co-ordination with embassies and trade offices, supporting their respective business communities, by giving them visibility through events and monthly gatherings.
Other sponsors of the event include Qatar Airways, Qatar Today, GAC and Qatari-French Business Club (gold sponsors); and ABB - Protection Insurance Services, Servcorp, Al Futtahim and Vehicle Rental (silver sponsors). Tickets for the event are on sale at Vodafone Stores and on the night at Grand Hyatt Hotel.
