Qatar-based SAK Holding Group, a leading real estate company, has won a prestigious award for the design of its iconic “Valley City” project at the “Leaf 2013” ceremony held in London.
This is the sixth major award for Valley City, which is a high-end luxurious, integrated living environment that is coming up in Qatar.
“Valley City”, is a 3mn sq m integrated environment for living and working, that is being set up near one of the stadiums that will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The project consists of thousands of housing units comprised of different sized homes and apartments, and villas. In addition to a resort it also has a four-star hotel; 250,000sq m central park, mall, different sized markets, cultural village, business offices and shops, recreational facilities, services, amenities and green space.
Valley City, SAK Holding Group said, reflects its future strategy, which is to contribute to Qatar’s real estate development in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the country’s untiring efforts to successfully host the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
Valley City project has been designed by renowned architect Marwan Zugheib from MZ Architects, Lebanon.
SAK Holding Group chairman Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani dedicated the new achievement to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and his wise leadership under which the country is moving towards a promising future and unprecedented development.
