HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani meeting with South Korean Prime Minister Chung Hong-won at the Emiri Diwan yesterday. The Korean premier conveyed President Park Geun-hye’s congratulations to HH the Emir on the occasion of taking the reins of power in the country. During the meeting, which was attended by the delegation accompanying the premier, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in various areas, especially in the economic field. The meeting was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani. Later, Qatar and South Korea held an official session of talks under the chairmanship of the two prime ministers. After the talks, they witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding for co-operation in urban planning and infrastructure between the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning in Qatar and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea.
