Qatar Airways’ corporate jet division, Qatar Executive, is taking part in Europe’s leading business aviation show EBACE in Geneva this week. The prestigious three-day show at the Palexpo Exhibition Centre in the Swiss city begins today and runs until Thursday. The event attracts over 400 companies with more than 10,000 visitors from over 30 countries.

Qatar Executive – awarded the Best Business Aviation Operator in 2012 by the magazine Aviation Business Middle East – will use the annual event in Switzerland to present its diversified service portfolio and innovative products to the business aviation community, placing a strong focus on its growing maintenance service facility at Doha International Airport.

Qatar Executive has significantly expanded its maintenance service offering, underpinning its status as a Bombardier Authorised Service Facility (ASF) in the Middle East with certifications from Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and EASA-Part 145 to support European and Qatari registered Bombardier aircraft.

Complementing its existing Line Maintenance services, Qatar Executive received additional regulatory approvals from the QCAA in April to perform Base Maintenance services for Bombardier Challenger 604 and 605s and the manufacturer’s Global series of aircraft.

Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar al-Baker, who also heads the airline’s private jet division, said: “EBACE is a key industry event for us and provides the perfect platform to promote Qatar Executive to a wide audience including business leaders, government officials and all the major corporate aircraft manufacturers.

“As the economy of Qatar continues to drive forward at lightening pace, global leaders and corporates are flocking in with their private jets on a daily basis and we look forward to providing them a wide range of top-notch business aviation services.

“Our enhanced maintenance offering, allowing selected aircraft types to undergo maintenance in Qatar, is an attractive service for business aviation operators and private jet owners and an important step towards establishing Qatar Executive, not just as a leading charter operator, but also as a premier Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility for private jets across the Middle East.”

Qatar Executive vice president Tilmann Gabriel added: “EBACE is all about relationship building and networking. With our sheer presence once again at this leading show, it demonstrates Qatar Executive’s commitment to establishing, maintaining and strengthening relationships with new and existing customers. We look forward to a very productive show over the next few days.”

In the four years since its inception, Qatar Executive has built up a solid foundation for its future development, and has rapidly turned into one of the top charter operations worldwide, backed by the global expertise and track record of its award-winning parent carrier, Qatar Airways.

In response to the growing demand for business jet services from the Middle East and around the world, the division has strengthened its market position by diversifying its service portfolio, now encompassing not just its core business of aircraft charters, but also aircraft management, maintenance and a full range of Fixed Based Operation (FBO) services.

Founded in 2009, Qatar Executive today operates a wholly-owned all-Bombardier fleet of six aircraft, comprising three Challenger 605s, two Global 5000s and one Global XRS – a number set to grow in the near future.
