Al Wakrah gets two new restaurants
12:08 AM

Lifestyle Restaurants managing director Yoonus Salim Vappattu, CEO Sameer Adam, head chef Oscar Ramos and restaurant in-charge Janet Aguilar.

Qatar-headquartered Lifestyle Restaurants is opening two eateries - Nino and Baba Chapatea - at the Health Centre Roundabout in Al Wakrah on May 11.

While Nino specialises in pasta, pizza and grill, the neighbouring Baba Chapatea is based on a tearoom concept featuring Karak tea and Indian chapathi, among other attractions.

Both the restaurants will be inaugurated by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Saoud al-Thani at 6.30pm on Saturday. Guido De Sanctis, Italian Ambassador to Qatar, will be the guest of honour.

Seeing the demand for various types of cuisines in and around the fast-developing Al Wakrah, the company decided to come up with Nino - an eatery that would serve pasta, burgers, pizza, grill, mocktails and more. The menu at Nino will include Melanza parmigiane, Fungi aglimono, Crispy prawn salad, Brucio angus, Verdure pizza, Arabic spiced crispy chicken burger, Lemon hamour, Herb butter rice and Tiramisu, to name a few. The  specialty of the restaurant, which can accommodate 85 people, will be the Premium wagyu steak.

Baba Chapatea has been designed in such a way that it resembles a modern café. It has a seating capacity of 31 and will serve - besides Karak tea and Indian chapathi - a variety of sandwiches, crepes, wraps, milkshakes, smoothies and beverages.

At present, the group operates five restaurants in Qatar: Royal Indian, Biryani Hut, Lifestyle, Idly factory and Bait Al-Azz. The soon-to-open outlets of the group include Chocolate House (Al Wakrah), Gerry’s Grill (Frej Al Nasr), Tamarind (Lagoona) and Burger Gourmet (Lagoona).

The overseas eateries of the company are India Garden in Saudi Arabia and Lifestyle family restaurant in Dubai.
