Andrew Stevens, Group CEO of Commercial Bank, yesterday announced the appointment of Rana Abdulaziz Salatt to the executive committee of the bank as executive general manager and chief risk officer.
This is the fifth senior executive appointment of a Qatari national at Commercial Bank in recent weeks, underscoring its commitment to developing home-grown talent.
Rana, who will report directly to the Group CEO in her new role with immediate effect, has been with Commercial Bank for over 16 years. She began her career with the bank as a graduate from Qatar University and worked her way up through various key roles in risk management, progressing to her most recent role as senior assistant general manager and head of risk controls.
Rana is well-known within Commercial Bank as a coach and mentor to up-and-coming staff, with the latter benefiting from her experiences.
