Qatar Career Fair, in conjunction with the event’s official sponsor – Astad for Project Management, has announced the ‘2014 Sustainable Stand Award’ for the stand that best conforms to sustainability as per acceptable criteria during the fair.
The award is expected to activate the Qatar National Vision 2030 of aspiring to sustainability in events, exhibitions and conferences.
The participating stands will be assessed in the light of the following criteria :
lThe appeal of the stand’s sustainable features to the fair’s audience and promoting the importance of sustainability.
lThe stand’s design is certainly representing an original idea.
lThe materials used in constructing the stand are either recycled or reused.
lThe fact that the stand can be dismantled and reinstalled so that it can be utilised in the future in other places.
lThe efficient management of the stand’s waste.
lThe stand’s energy-saving efficiency.
lThe fact that the stand is stimulating the national economy by employing materials supplied by the local market.
lThe fact that the company’s marketing activity is encouraging the fair’s visitors to be friendly to the environment.
Astad’s patronage of the award is motivated by two factors including its sustainable vision and initiative to promote the importance of sustainability at the career fair.
