Al-Attiyah meets Papua New Guinea special envoy
HE the Chairman of the  Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, who is also President of the Climate Change Conference (COP18/CMP8), met Kevin Conrad, the special envoy in charge of climate change with the rainforests minister in Papua New Guinea who is currently visiting Qatar. Talks during the meeting dealt with matters of interest to both countries specially those connected to climate change.
HE al-Attiyah also met the president of Beirut Arab University Dr Amr Jalal al-Adawi in Doha yesterday.  They discussed key issues of common concern.


Advisory Council holds meeting
The Advisory Council held its weekly session at the White Palace under its Deputy Speaker HE Issa bin Rabiah al-Kuwari yesterday.
At the outset of the meeting Council Secretary General Fahd bin Mubarak al-Khayareen read out the meeting’s agenda which was approved.
The Council discussed a report forwarded by the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee on a draft law amending some provisions of Law No. 19 of 2005 regulating the practice of engineering professions.
The Council decided to refer its recommendations to the Cabinet.   
Meanwhile, an Advisory Council  joint committee comprising the Legal, Legislative Affairs and Finance, Economic Affairs Committees also held a meeting yesterday during the Council’s 41st session under its Rapporteur Nasser Rashid Seyraei al-Kaabi.
The joint committee resumed study of a draft law organising the real estate development.
