Emir, Sheikh Tamim lead Sport Day activities HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani riding a camel at Um Ethnaytein yesterday on the occasion of National Sport Day.

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani led the celebrations held yesterday to mark Qatar National Sport Day by riding a purebred Arabian camel at Um Ethnaytein.
Emir’s participation in the Sports Day celebrations stems from his belief in the importance of sports and its significant role in the lives of individuals and communities.
The Emir was accompanied by HH the Special Adviser to HH the Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa al-Thani.   
Separately HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani participated with children in the sports activities organised by Qatar Orphan Foundation (Dhreima) at Al-Arabi Sports Club yesterday morning to mark the National Sport Day.
The Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent also took part in the sports activities held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex  and toured the complex facilities including the Heritage Village, the Kids Village and the VIP Village.  
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers  celebrated National Sport Day in the presence of HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud.
The celebration kicked off with a march at the Corniche from the General Secretariat headquarters.
The activities of the Ministry of Justice was launched by HE the Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanem.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) launched its activities with a 1km march on the Al-Refaa Street.
HE the Minister of Public Health and SCH Secretary-General Abdullah bin Khalid al-Qahtani took part in a march on the Corniche.
