Turkish Airlines announced new promotions and 2013 travel campaigns at a meeting with Doha’s travel industry professionals, outlining the carrier’s planned expansion of its 217-city global network and its position as one of the world’s fastest growing airlines.
The meeting at Crowne Plaza Hotel was attended by travel agents who were given an overview of Turkey’s destination highlights, competitive fares to destinations in Europe and the US, and the airline’s upcoming campaigns for Istanbul Shopping Festival in June and Ramadan in Istanbul Festival.
Mehmed Kursad Caymaz, general manager of Turkish Airlines in Qatar, said: “We are delighted to launch promotions that allow our customers to benefit from our award-winning service at the most competitive prices currently available out of Doha, providing local agents incredible value for their clientele. We are encouraging our customers to take advantage of the latest offer to discover the magic of Istanbul, the city’s fascinating sites, exquisite cuisine, boutiques and international shopping, with a free night’s stopover on their next flight from Doha.”
Travel agents were apprised of the benefits of corporate packages and membership of the Turkish Corporate Club, which offers exclusive discounts, free luggage allowance, free tickets and flexibility. Details of the new Comfort Class, the 3,000sq m Lounge Istanbul and Turkish Do & Co’s award-winning Flying Chef concept were also presented.
Turkish Airlines also held a prize draw for the participating agents and announced plans for future trade events, in addition to the recently-sponsored eighth Traditional Turkish Hotels and Qatar Travel Agencies Workshop.
