After the assassination of his chief security officer Bilal Sheikh in a suicide attack, President Asif Ali Zardari has been advised to restrict his movement at least for a month due to security threats.

Though the president’s public appearance is very nominal but after the recent attack on his security aide he has been advised to restrict it further. Same advice has been given to the other members of Bhutto family.

Sources revealed that the security agencies were not satisfied with the security arrangements of the president at Bilawal House. They want to depute professional security officers there but the private security of the PPP’s co-chairperson is the main hindrance. The PPP is much more concerned about its leadership’s security after Salman Taseer’s assassination by a policeman.

These agencies believe that the assassination of Bilal Sheikh is a clear message from the terrorists that they can target any one. A senior PPP leader claimed on condition of anonymity that due to security threats the president might spend a month or so with his family abroad.

He confirmed that after the assassination of Bilal Sheikh the PPP has suggested to limit the public appearance and movement of President Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Asifa Bhutto zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari. He further confirmed that the security arrangements at Bilawal House were also questioned by national security agencies but they will solve this issue amicably.

The security of governor Sindh Dr ishritul Abad has also beefed up and he has been advised to limit his activities to the Governor House, sources revealed. Reliable sources revealed that after the recent wave of terror in the country security advice was issued to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab chief minister Mian Shabaz Sharif as they too are on hit-list of the terrorists. The security of the two leaders has been beefed up to the highest level.
