Inspiring debates
Dear Sir,
This letter is dedicated to youngsters like me who want to actively participate in debates on global problems and who feel that they can change the world.
I have recently been highly inspired by the O-MUN site on the Internet. On this site, children can choose to become delegates of a country and debate an issue.
MUN, short for Model United Nations, is an educational simulation and/or academic competition in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations.
MUN gives versatile training to children in various areas, developing their leadership and communication skills, constructive thinking process and, most importantly, their will to serve the entire humanity.
MUN is a constructive programme through which we can connect to other children of our age in the world. This, to me, is the best way to become a world citizen. O-MUN is a programme initiated by Thimun Qatar and is supervised by its head, Lisa Martin.
O-MUN has the same procedure followed in THIMUN where debates are held regularly. Children who have signed up for the debate are given countries which they represent.
Besides this, O-MUN features many national debates which are controlled by schools of a particular country.
O-MUN is extremely easy to operate and you don’t have to be a technology geek to do that. So friends, if you enjoy debates, then O-MUN is the right place; it has many exciting debates coming up and I do believe that O-MUN is that roller-coaster ride which can give you a lot of fun, a medium where you can cultivate yourself as a vibrant leader of tomorrow.

Indian embassy sidelines Hindi
Dear Sir,
The Indian embassy in Doha digitally displays information about various services it offers and the counter details in English and Malayalam. But the displays are not in Hindi which is India’s national language. I wonder why the Hindi language is sidelined while Malayalam, a language spoken in just one Indian state, is given prominence.
I appeal to the embassy to correct this anomaly and set things in order.
