The new world order

Dear Sir,

Russia’s annexation of  Crimea and its attitude towards Ukraine is a sign of the new world order that is taking shape. For the past 50 years the US has been involved in a series of wars in places most Americans have even never heard of.

It seems world events are all increasingly being pre-planned by certain warlords active in the military industrial complex.

Conspiracy theory fanatics believe that elite inner circle members of certain groups and organisations are scheming to dominate the world politically and economically under their “order”.

Terms like globalisation or global union are taking the place of the so-called “world order”.

When US president George H W Bush started using the term “new world order” in several of his speeches, it aroused suspicion and concern among the public. So, the “elite” selected a generic term “globalisation” in its place, and now most Americans are no longer alarmed by the changing world order. This is mainly because the word “globalisation” is widely being used by the business sector and it does not sound frightening. But you cannot change a tiger’s stripes. We are still talking about the new world order when we talk about “globalisation”.

The US foreign policy in the Middle East and North Africa has contributed to the alarm over the new world order. It is forever cleaning up its own messes and those of its allies, undoing the unintended consequences of its policies designed to benefit certain political groups.

The tangled web of America’s failed initiatives and grandiose “visions” have become so complicated and fragile that the whole structure of “international order” they have created is threatening to come down on their heads. Even then America persists in making the same mistakes like robots wired for self-destruction.
