The Supreme Court yesterday cleared the deck for shifting Sahara chief Subrata Roy to a make-shift jail in a conference hall at the Tihar Jail complex so that he can negotiate the sale of his properties in India and abroad. The court allowed the Delhi government to issue a notification designating the conference hall as a jail by August 4 where Roy along with two other directors will be shifted on August 5. This is being done to enable him to raise Rs100bn to make part payment of the investors’ money.
