Omran al-Sherawi now heads Commercial Bank’s Asset and Liabilities Management division.
Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi has announced the promotion of Omran al-Sherawi to head of Asset and Liabilities Management. In recent years, al-Sherawi has emerged as a leader within Commercial Bank after a successful track record in previous positions and his promotion underscores the bank’s commitment to developing home-grown talented staff.
Al-Sherawi has more than 10 years of experience with Commercial Bank and most recently held the roles of head of Project Management Office and vice-president of Wholesale Banking. In his new position as head of Asset and Liabilities Management, al-Sherawi will play an instrumental role in providing funding and liquidity to ensure Commercial Bank’s continued robust growth as a strategic partner for all Qatari businesses.
Al-Raisi said: “Omran al-Sherawi has played an integral part in Commercial Bank’s growth and success due to his initiative, hard work, and strong Qatari relationships.
