The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has extended its support to the “Back2Business Qatar,” a networking event slated on October 14 at the Intercontinental Doha Hotel the Beach, Italian Chamber of Commerce in Qatar chairperson Palma Libotte said.
According to Libotte, the networking event offers the opportunity to reconnect with business contacts after the long summer “in an informal, yet business environment.”
Sarah al-Dorani, associate director of Branding and Advertising at the QFC, said: “The QFC is committed to supporting the business community in Qatar, and helping to build a thriving business and financial sector. ‘Back2Business’ is one of Qatar’s most prominent business networking events and we are proud to support it.”
Libotte said an average of 600 Qatari and international businessmen participate during the annual networking event to exchange views on market scenarios, share experiences and promote their business.
“During the event, participants wear a coloured badge that corresponds to his or her business sector, making it easy to identify people of interest. The sectors this year will be oil and gas, finance, construction, interiors, hospitality, health, and education, among others.”
Libotte said the first edition of “Back2Business Qatar” was promoted by the German Business Council Qatar (GBCQ) in 2004.
“It was later supported by the Italian Business Council, along with nine other major international business organisations: the Scandinavian, Spanish, Turkish, Dutch, Australian, New Zealand, French, British, and Irish and Qatari Businessmen associations.
“All their respective embassies also promote the B2Bevent as a commensurate ambience to meet decision makers,” Libotte said. Tickets to the event are available at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Qatar and the GBCQ. For more information, contact 5547 2952.
