Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 51.69 points, or 0.46%, this week, when it closed trading on Thursday at 11,347.15 points.
The turnover this week increased 1.51% to QR 2.339bn compared to QR 2.304bn last week.
The volume of shares traded increased 6.88% to 57,853,195 shares compared to 54,129,012 last week, while the number of transactions fell by 20.73%, to 28,419 as compared to 35,852 last week.
The market capitalisation increased 0.49% to QR 598.911bn compared to QR 596.014bn at the end of previous week.
Banks and financial services topped the traded value this week with 42.23% of the total value. Real estate accounted for 26.57%, industries 17.24%, and telecoms 5.84%.
Real estate topped the traded volume this week with 46.11% of the total volume. Banks and financial services accounted for 27.27%, industries 9.92%, and telecoms 8.70%.
Banks and financial services topped the number of transactions this week with 26.44% of the total transactions. Real estate accounted for 23.71%, industries 22.03%, and telecoms 17.49%.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, 10 ended this week higher, 32 fell and one remained unchanged.
Commercial Bank of Qatar topped the traded value with 21.18% of the total traded value. Ezdan Holding Group accounted for 13%, and Barwa Real Estate 9.23%.
