Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 29.19 points or -0.26% on Wednesday when it closed at 11,385.90 points.
The market capitalisation declined to QR 601.71bn from QR 602.91bn registered on Tuesday.
The daily turnover declined to QR 340.21mn with a volume of 7,576,261 shares from 5,549 transactions compared to QR 407.66mn with a volume of 9,172,013 shares from 5,417 transactions on Tuesday.
Insurance index gained +1.13% to 4,688.05 points while banks and financial companies index rose +0.67% to 3,097.1 points.
Indices of all other sectors ended the day in the red with consumer goods and services index dropping the most by -2.22% to 6,669.71 points.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, shares of 40 exchanged hands. Of these, 29 dropped, 10 gained and one remained unchanged.
