The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) will host the annual macroeconomic symposium at the Four Seasons on Tuesday.
The event will be held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
The conference will feature keynote speeches by Sheikh Abdullah and HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, who will unveil the newly developed ‘Macroeconomic Scenario Planning Model’.
The report entitled “Qatar Prospects: Economic Scenarios for the future,” outlines the current economic challenges facing Qatar and future growth opportunities for the country.
Sheikh Ahmed will highlight his ministry’s efforts to address economic challenges in Qatar and achieve sustainable growth in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The conference is the result of collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics, the Qatar Central Bank and Qatar Petroleum, among other stakeholders.
