Masraf Al Rayan has announced its participation in the “2nd Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum” to be held on March 2 and 3 at the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel.
Masraf Al Rayan Group CEO Adel Mustafawi said, “Masraf Al Rayan has long demonstrated its commitment to supporting the role and progress of a robust private sector as a way of helping the diversification of our national economy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
“Our sponsorship of the forum does reflect our eagerness to be part of the debate addressing the national socio-economic issues and also shows our effort to positively contribute towards the achievement of Qatar’s future goals and ambitions.”
The forum, held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed al-Thani, is a collaboration between Interactive Business Network (IBN) and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
Mustafawi added, “Working with entrepreneurs represents one of our core strategies to boost the real economy within the State of Qatar, expecting the forum to provide a precious opportunity to work with the parties concerned to produce solid entrepreneurial concepts and interactive business networking to address the issues facing the new generations of entrepreneurs in Qatar and the region.”
The forum is expected to attract varied interest and participation of officials and policymakers, major public and private institutions involved in education and youth development, business leaders, banks and specialised financial institutions, economists, and experts in various fields and the academic community.
Masraf Al Rayan has announced the financial results for the year 2014, posting net profits of QR2.0bn, an increase of 18% compared to 2013.
