REGISTRATION: Arjun Prasad Bhattarai register his candidacy for NRNA-NCC’s president.

The Nonresident Nepalese Association-National Coordination Council (NRNA-NCC) has scheduled its sixth General Assembly for August 14 at the Coral Hotel in Old Salata. Elections for the new working committee will be held on August 21.
Seventy-four people have declared their candidacy for 31 posts in the new working committee for 2015-2017. They registered last Friday at Golden Fork Restaurant.
Nepalese community leaders Binesh Tamang, Arjun Prasad Bhattarai, Sakir Ali and Bil Bahadur Gurung are vying for the post of president.
Hemraj Dhakal Chhetri, Binod Prasad Bhattarai, Homnath Sharma and Sunil Mandal are contesting for NRNA-ICC (the International Coordination Committee of NRNA) membership. Two memberships are available.
Nagendra Prasad Pokharel, Mohammed Muqtada Muslim and Krishna Bhattarai are contesting for the post of first vice-president.
Drona Bahadur Basnet, Mohammad Umer Alam and Prabin Gurung have declared their candidacies for the post of second vice-president.
Nanda Prasad Garbuja, Karim Boxs Miya and Nandra Prasad Dhungana are contesting for the post of general secretary.
Sanjay Rajak, Prem Kumar BK and Uttam Kumar Shah are contesting for the secretary’s post.  Bheshraj Parajuli, Abdul Basid, Rupesh Yadav, Budhal Gurung and Akabar Kabari will compete to be the new working committee’s treasurer.  
Sangita is the only candidate for the women coordinator, and will therefore win unopposed.
Lila GC, Kedar Nath Bhusal, Bhanu Dahal and Dipendra Dhakal have registered their names to be the new youth coordinators.
Sarita Poudel and Mina Khadka will compete to be the sole female member.
Ramji Khatri, Shiva Prrasada Bastola, Lal Bahadur Bhat Ramji Khatri, Bhupati Bhattarai, Bhim Bahadur Thapa, Mahila Viva, Maksuda Alam Khan, Rupesh Kumar Shrestha, Bhim Bahadur Magar Taramu, Mahomed Yasin Rhine, Dilli Ram Bhattarai, Mehboob Alam, Santosh Yangjo, Wisdom Prasad Bhandari and Deepak Lamichen are going to contest for the six open memberships.
Tej Katuwal and Ram Kumar Mandal are vying for the eastern membership.
Guru Narayan Bhatt is the coordinator of the election committee. Yubraj Patak, KB Hamal, Ganesh Sewa, Debraj Rai, Mahatab Alam, Ramu Basyal, Pratab Dughana and Ashad Hussain are the members of the election committee.
