It’s that time of the year again. The Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCU-Q) BFA & MFA Exhibition featuring all graduating students from the BFA and MFA programmes will be on from today to May 23.
The annual exhibition of Qatar’s graduating artists and designers is a celebration, says VCU-Q, “of the creative achievements of the University’s graduating students and provides the opportunity to preview Qatar’s emerging talent in the fields of graphic, fashion and interior design, painting & printmaking, and design studies.”
The exhibition kicks off today 3 at 6pm, and will open at Room 390 (BFA exhibition) and VCU-Q Gallery (MFA exhibition). Entry is free.
The exhibition guarantees to feature a wide and interesting range of work that represents the culmination of the techniques and concepts developed throughout the students’ experience at VCU-Q.
The BFA and MFA Exhibition provides an opportunity to unite all of VCU-Q’s graduating students, from across all art and design disciplines, and showcase their creative achievements.
“Our graduates have learned to engage in ideas through demanding creative processes that require research, collaboration, innovation, fabrication, visualisation and courage,” Allyson Vanstone, Dean of VCU-Q, had said during last year’s BFA and MFA Exhibition, “We trust in their intellectual and creative abilities to help them achieve all they envision, while continuing to learn with each new challenge.”
