PICNICS Hundreds of Nepali expats went on multiple picnics to Al Shamal Garden and Al Dosari Garden last Friday. Activities at the picnics included concerts, Doharis (musical debates), poetry recitation, and lunch. The activities at Al Dosari Garden in Shahaniya Park were organised by the Dhankuta Service Society, while the activities in Al Shamal Garden were organised by the Nepalese Public Relations Coordination Committee and Kyakmi Unit of Syangja Help Society. The Nonresident Nepalese Magar Association also organised a picnic at the Shamal Public Garden to celebrate the Maghi Festival. Text and photos: Usha Wagle Gautam
