CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR: The Sandhya Group celebrated the Nepalese New Year at a programme held in Doha on Monday. The participants wished a Happy New Year to each other on the occasion. A poem recital was also organised on the occasion by Muglani Saugat, a literary bi-monthly magazine. The Nepalese year of 2071 started on March 14. The programme started with the national anthem of Nepal and featured poetry recitals by a number of Qatar-based Nepalese poets, including Dilip Abiral, Bishnu Bhandari, Santosh Kunwar, Som Nepali, Suman Bhattarai and Suriya BC.
