The Indian Cultural Centre celebrated its 15th annual dance festival with performances by students of its dance classes.
Chief guest and Indian embassy minister (political) Sanjiv Kohli spoke on the strides that Indian classical dances have made at the global level.
Dance teacher Metilda Solomon received a traditional honour from her students.
Nearly 75 students trained by Solomon showcased their talent performing Bharatanatyam, Kuchupidi, Mohiniattam, semi-classical and folk dances.
ICC president K M Varghese welcomed the gathering. Head of affiliation and consular services Milan Arun spoke on the festival’s significance. Sadheesh Vilavil gave a brief introduction of the event. Reshma Hegde was the compere.
