Newly elected student government representatives with Community College of Qatar officials

The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) recently held Student Government Association (SGA) elections at its West Bay Campus for men.
Some 86 students participated in the one-day election process which saw Hamad al-Marri elected president, Ahmed al-Hassan elected vice-president, and Ahmed Hassan Jarjash elected secretary.
All three officers have successfully completed the ESL Foundation Programme at CCQ and are in their freshmen year at the college. The election is an important event as it represents the interests of the CCQ student body at the West Bay Campus and also prepares the officers for leadership positions outside the college.
“We are delighted that the election process at the male campus was very successful for the second year in a row,” said the assistant dean of Student Services, Abdulnassir al-Tamimi.
“It is extremely encouraging when you have more than 60% of the students at the male campus engaging in the election process. It shows how much they care about their education, the welfare and future of our college”, said al-Tamimi. He also expressed his gratitude to the outgoing SGA officers for their efforts and leadership all through CCQ’s inaugural year.
Ibrahim al-Naimi, Interim president of the Community College of Qatar, congratulated the new male SGA leadership team as well as all the students for their participation.
