Staples receiving a plaque from Dey as other officials of ISA Qatar Section look on |
ISA president Leo Staples and director (product and services) Timothy Feldman, from the organisation’s headquarters in the US, were the main guests.
ISA is the largest worldwide forum for instrumentation, control and automation professionals from oil and gas, petrochemical, power, steel, chemical and other industries.
There are more than 120 sections worldwide.
ISA Qatar Section, formed in November 2001 with 26 members, now has more than 300 automation professionals from Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Gas, RasGas, Qafco, Qafac, QChem, QVC, Qasco, Qapco, Oxy, QEWC, ORYX GTL, Shell GTL, Worley Parsons, Technip and other international control system manufacturers and engineering companies.
The anniversary celebration also featured ISA Qatar Section’s 72nd seminar. The event on control valves was sponsored by Samson, Germany and QM Controls.
ISA Qatar Section president Nilangshu Dey presented felicitation plaques to Staples.
