According to the company’s chairman Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani the units are equipped with all facilities and amenities to house several hundreds of athletes and other sport officials who have come for the Games. “Ours is a company having extensive experience in providing residential accommodations and the latest event stands testimony to our abilities in building housing projects that would suit the requirements of the guests.”
Managing director of Ezdan Real Estate Company Ali bin Mohamed al-Obaidli said “the Games have given the company an opportunity to showcase its abilities to approach a major sport event of international standards. It also highlighted the vision of Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani in propelling the group to greater progress.
Ezdan, he said, will also provide no less than 50,000 residential units for the 2022 FIFA World Cup which Qatar has been voted to host.
CEO of Ezdan Real Estate Company Hesham al-Sahatri said it is a matter of proud for the company to associate with a sport event as remarkable as Arab Games, which will reinforce Qatar’s abilities as a capable host of a major event.
The CEO also appreciated the support, co-operation and guidance that the company received from the Arab Games Organising Committee during the construction of the world class Athletes Village. .
According to Deputy CEO Abdul Rahman al-Najjar the company designed the Athletes Village to serve as a second home to visiting sportsmen. “Besides being the Athletes’ Village, the facility’s location is also quite important. New roads have been laid to connect the village with all the competition venues and thus transportation of athletes became rather easy. It would not take not more than 30 minutes to reach a place as farther as Lusail from the Village”, he said.
The village, according to the company, is equipped with such facilities as Mosque, a polyclinic, a daycare facility for children, swimming pools, fully-equipped gymnasiums, other recreational facilities and table tennis tables among others.
