Qtel officials at a booth at the WPC exhibition

Qtel is playing a significant role at the 20th World Petroleum Congress as the official telecommunications partner.
Qtel is supporting the ICT needs of over 5,000 delegates who are attending both the congress and the exhibition over the five days. Qtel has developed products tailored specifically for the developing Qatari economy, including the oil and gas sector.
These products include the first hosted IP telephony service in the GCC, Global Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network, a Global Ethernet solution, and innovative wireless solutions.
As one of the largest conferences ever to be held in Doha, telecommunication plays an important role throughout the World Petroleum Congress, from ensuring delegates have wireless access to supporting keynote speaker presentations.
Technology is increasingly playing a large part in every aspect of business and with investment of over $3.2bn in Qatar’s technology infrastructure, Qtel continues to support the country’s growth for the future.
Qtel is also taking part in the exhibition, highlighting the numerous ways in which it can provide sophisticated ICT solutions for those working within the energy sector. As an integral part of Qatar’s growth, Qtel has worked with energy companies on new sites and developments, creating the communication infrastructure for headquarter operations.
Additionally, leading local companies have worked with Qtel to develop robust, dynamic global communication systems to keep them fully-connected to the fast-changing international energy markets.
