ExxonMobil exhibition booth at the 20th World Petroleum Congress & Exhibition
ExxonMobil will demonstrate its commitment to finding solutions to the challenge of meeting growing world energy demand while reducing environmental impacts at the 20th World Petroleum Congress, the energy major said yesterday. ExxonMobil said it has a relationship with Qatar spanning decades and is proud to support Qatar as the event’s first host in the Middle East.
“Under the leadership of HH the Emir and the strong commitment of HE the Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah and HE the Minister of Energy and Industry, Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada, Qatar has created the business environment necessary to attract the investment required to develop Qatar’s oil and natural gas resources,” said Bart Cahir, acting president and general manager of ExxonMobil Qatar.
“Qatar has become one of the world’s leading energy-providing nations and its responsible energy development is an example of what can be achieved through co-operation, innovation and investment.”
Members of ExxonMobil’s senior management will present keynote remarks and participate in key panel sessions, including Rex W Tillerson, chairman and chief executive officer, who will give the keynote speech on December 6 as part of a panel chaired by al- Sada.
As part of the conference’s technical programme, ExxonMobil researchers and engineers will present four papers and two posters on topics including energy efficiency, ensuring local participation in energy development and unconventional gas resources.
ExxonMobil’s exhibit, located at booth #7102, will showcase its successful relationship with its partners in Qatar and the Middle East as well as its distinguishing capabilities in the vital areas of operational excellence, innovative technologies, social responsibility, national content and energy efficiency.
The ExxonMobil exhibition will also feature the Mobil 1 Racing Team, including an appearance by Lewis Hamilton, as well as the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes show car.
