A new technology to save water by about 30% was demonstrated at a seminar attended by officials from various sectors in Qatar earlier this week.
The seminar was organised by Al Farman Investment & International Trading Company at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel, City Center Doha.
The event was held in association with Methven Manufacturing Company, which has years of experience in water-saving technologies.
Al Farman is the sole agent and exclusive distributor for Methven’s water-saving solutions and instruments.
Senior engineers, representatives of the construction sector, and officials from the Ashghal, the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), the Hamad Medical Corporation, and Qatar Foundation were among those who attended the event.
Al Farman is a member of the Qatar Green Building Council and is focused on environmental sustainability. It offers the latest developments of sustaining the environment in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of the Faisal Holding Group, Al Farman distributes and supplies construction materials of international standard.
It deals with a large number of ceramic and porcelain tiles, marble, natural stones, sanitaryware, bathroom accessories, lighting and furniture.
At the seminar, a communiqué quoting Al Faisal Holding vice-chairman Sheikh Mohamed bin Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani said the company is aimed at protecting and sustaining the environment and is proud to deal with Methven, which he described as a pioneer in water-saving technologies.
Methven Middle East general manager Noel Lee and engineering services manager Chris McDonald, and Al Farman chief executive Yanni Jouaneh spoke at the seminar.
