A scene from the musical

Doha College Primary School presented a musical performance, ‘Hansel and Gretel,’ to the delight of an audience of parents and friends over two days.
All the children in the school’s Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes had an important part to play in retelling this traditional story by Hans Christian Anderson.
In the story, a brother and sister, Hansel and Gretel, become lost in the forest and stumble upon a house made of gingerbread and decorated with chocolate and candies. Unfortunately, the owner is a mean and rather hungry witch! The stage for the play was beautifully decorated by parents. Each class had a special moment in the play when they came on stage to dance and sing and the Year 2 children did a fine job of acting and narrating the story. The Friends of Doha College were there after both performances to serve refreshments and to inform parents about upcoming events.
Head of Primary, Jo Sawyer, said: “The children really enjoyed performing and as usual amazed us all with their confidence and stage presence. A huge thank you to the staff and parents for their hard work.”
