Event organiser Mehdi Ghassemi said this is the first of its kind concert being organised for the French community in the country.
“Ambassadors of Belgium, Germany, Spain, Tunisia, Romania, Lebanon, Algeria and United Arab Emirates will attend the event,” Ghassemi said .
Qatari singer Ali Abdul Sattar will be joining Marka on stage as special guest.
Marka is a Belgian singer with more than 12 albums to his credit. His career started in the early 80s. He has also been co-writer with famous French singer Mc Solaar.
In 2000, he performed at the “Francofolies de Spa” concert held over five days in Belgium and is one of the most famous artists in Belgium. He has performed in cities like London, Amsterdam, Paris, New York and Tokyo.
Tickets priced at QR220 are available at InterContinental Hotel, Virgin Megastore and Centre Culturel Français. For every ticket sold, QR20 will be donated to the “Resto du Coeur” charity, the organiser said.
