Officials announcing the Judo show at the mall
A judo demonstration will be held  outside the food court area of Hyatt Plaza today. The event is being organised in co-operation with the Embassy of Japan, Qatar Tae kwon do and Judo Federation and Qatar University Judo Club.
It will also witness the participation of international judo gold medalist arriving from Japan.
“Next year, we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Qatar and Japan and we are very pleased to organise a judo demonstration at Hyatt Plaza for the people of Qatar, which contributes to strengthen our already excellent relations,” said Masayuki Sorimachi, cultural and PR secretary at the Japan Embassy.
With the presence of judo gold medalist from Japan, Yukiharu Yoshitaka, and the renowned judo coach in Doha, Hajime Kojima, the demonstration is expected to include judo skills for the audience to watch and enjoy. The programme also expects a strong presence of VIPs as well as Japanese Ambassador Kenjiro Monji.
