RasGas’ Operations Projects Department officials celebrate 15mn manhours of work without a lost time incident
RasGas’ Operations Projects Department celebrated 15mn manhours of work without a lost time
incident (LTI).
A special ceremony was organised in Ras Laffan to celebrate the achievement.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hamad Mubarak al-Muhannadi, RasGas manager (operations group), said: “These significant milestones may seem ‘routine’ as it has been a short nine months since our Projects Department reached 10mn workhours. However, there is nothing routine in brownfield projects execution as each safety milestone reinforces our commitment to safety and focus on best practices and continuous
improvement.”
He said a continued excellent effort and dedication is required to maintain such outstanding
performances.
“I would like to express my appreciation to the Projects Department team and contractors for their dedication and hard work that has helped us achieve this remarkable accomplishment. Reaching such milestones is a clear indication of the team’s continued commitment to creating a safe work
environment.
“Safety is a core value at RasGas where no job is done well unless it is done safely. I would encourage all involved to not rest on these milestones, but to continue to keep safety as a primary focus in all their activities,”
al-Muhannadi said.
During the ceremony, key contractors involved in the achievement were presented certificates of appreciation. Some Projects Department team members were also presented with mementoes for their outstanding contribution towards the safety achievement.
