Ras Laffan Director Abdulaziz Jassim al-Muftah presenting a memento to Nepalese President Dr Ram Baran Yadav

Nepalese President Dr Ram Baran Yadav visited Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) along with a high-level government delegation. Dr Yadav arrived in Doha on Monday for a four-day state visit to Qatar.
Ras Laffan Director Abdulaziz Jassim al-Muftah welcomed the Nepalese President and his accompanying delegation on behalf of Qatar Petroleum. Dr Yadav attended a presentation about Ras Laffan Industrial City’s facilities, services, industries, Ras Laffan port and future projects. Later, he toured the city and port, the world’s largest hydrocarbon exporting facility.
Currently, around 7,000 Nepalis work and live in Ras Laffan City. During this visit, President Yadav met some members of the Nepali community who were thrilled to see their country’s President and the delegation.
Dr Yadav was impressed with the scale and development of the city and port.
He said: “Ras Laffan Industrial City has been a unique experience, the high-tech application in the exploration of natural resources were put in a magnificent and fascinating manner. The wealth created being used for the good of mankind was exemplary”.
Al-Muftah presented a memento to Dr Yadav and thanked him and the delegation for visiting Ras Laffan.
The Nepalese President also visited Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company and Qatar Railways Company where he was greeted by senior officials and were briefed on their operations and investments.
At the end of his tour, the CEO of Qatari Diar, Eng Mohamed bin Ali al-Hadfa, presented a memento to Dr Yadav who thanked the officials for the warm welcome accorded to him during the visit.
