After hosting a coaching clinic, Monty played a couple of holes with each of the four balls that took part in the event.
Head of global banking at HSBC Qatar, Jody Sanderson said: “HSBC is honoured to host the HSBC Golf Day with Colin Montgomerie. Not only do we have the pleasure of first hand experiencing Colin’s expertise, but we also have the opportunity to spend good time with our valued customers outside of the office.”
Montgomerie commented: “HSBC’s support of golf is fabulous for the game. We are looking forward to the tournaments ahead. It was a super day of golf on the fabulous course in Doha.” Golf commentator John Hawksworth was the host and master of ceremonies for the event.
“HSBC is a global supporter of high profile golfing events and extend this partnership to involve customers and staff alike,” said a spokesperson, adding “in January 2011 HSBC was the main sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.”
