IIA, QCPA, and SAA officials at the event
Board members of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) participated in an informal networking event with members of Qatar Certified Public Accountants (QCPA) and Scientific Accounting Association (SAA).
The objective was to further strengthen collaboration for development of the internal audit and accounting professions. These associations over the years have jointly conducted conferences, training programmes, and workshops.
QCPA chairman Dr Khalid bin Nasser al-Khater, IIA president Hassan al-Mulla, and SAA chairman Dr Rajab Abdulla al-Esmail and other dignitaries addressed the gathering. 
They lauded the support and guidance provided by professional bodies. The emphasis was on knowledge sharing and prioritising the emerging needs of the professions. 
“The internal auditors area of work mainly comprises of risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit and security,” IIA board member and past president Sundaresan Rajeswar said.
“Given that the dynamic business environment warrants regular peer interactions to learn by sharing of experiences, professional collaborations brings immense value add,” he stated.
Members were honoured for outstanding contributions.
