Students of the Shantiniketan Indian School with museum officials
The Shantiniketan Indian School Summer Camp (Summer Rain), which began earlier this month, has brought children on a study tour of the Museum of Islamic Art.
The curator at the museum interacted with the students, while game cards titled “Unseen Treasures” were distributed, turning the tour into a fun activity.
The highlights of the tour included a pen box from 1004 AD, a necklace from India (1607-1619), Qur’an page of 10th century, and the Ramayana in Persian language.
The tour is part of the summer work programme, which focuses on interactive pedagogy to streamline the children for the challenges ahead, enabling them to be competent citizens where ever they are.
