| New DTM executive committee with guests at the event |
Doha Toastmasters Club (DTM), an affiliate of Toastmasters International and the first club of Toastmasters movement in Qatar, has elected its new executive committee for 2011-2012.
The new committee is headed by Anil Nair. The other members Jayakumar Menon (vice-president – education), Subair Pandavath (VP – membership), Deepak Shivankar (VP – public relations), Rajshekhar Kalyanshetty (treasurer), Hari Kumar (secretary) and Yoosaf Vannarath (sergeant-at-arms).
Lieutenant-Governor – Marketing (District 20) Maria Victoria Ferrer was the chief guest at the occasion.
The Division (E) governor Krishna Kumar, Area (28) governor Eswaran Natarajan and the immediate past Division (E) governor Subha Anupindi also addressed the event.
Manzoor Moideen, Siva Prakash and Gavellier Samara Waheed entertained the audience with humorous and contest winning speeches.
The event also saw induction of 10 members into the club.
DTM has completed 14 years in Qatar, serving the community for the continuous improvement of the leadership and communication skills of its members.
The club also has community service orientation with its youth leadership programmes for the children of age group 12-19 and speech craft programmes for adults above 19 years.
