Afghans, including religious clerics, holding placards and shouting slogans during a protest against an allegedly blasphemous article which appeared in the Afghanistan Expressnewspaper in Kabul yesterday. According to media reports, the newspaper published an article containing allegedly blasphemous phrases, though the newspaper has made a statement that the publication of the article was a mistake Afghan chief executive Abdullah Abdullah is reported to have instructed the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Information and Culture to arrest the online English language newspaper’s staff.
